Margie Goins Williams, 77, passed away Thursday morning, December 1, 2022, at Annie Penn Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, December 5th, at Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel in Madison. Burial will follow in the Goins Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, 5 – 7 PM, at the funeral home and other times at the residence, 303 N. 7th Avenue in Mayodan.
Margie was born March 11, 1945 to the late Louie Goins and Murphy Bullins Goins. She was a retiree of Bassett Walker and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.
She is survived by her son, Brad Goins (Brenda Conner) of Virginia; daughter, Sue Goins Fultz (Keith) of Mayodan; two grandchildren, Chasidy Brooke Goins (Daryl “Pookie” Hairston) and Wesley Bowman; brother, John Henry Goins (Kathy) of Ridgeway, VA; three sisters, Sadie Goins (Leroy), Lacy Goins and Virginia Jones (Irvan); sister-in-law, Elma Goins; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; honorary grandchildren, Cloe Baughn, Savannah Mabe, Haley Woods, Cody Woods, J. T. Woods, Chelsia Brown, Kenzie Smith, Danielle Via, Harley Davis and Kenzie Shaw; honorary great-grandchildren, Aeriona Smith, Dominic Smith, Elijah Hodge, Toby Boaz, Billy Boaz, Jr., Willow Boaz, Courtney Boaz, Gracelyn Priddy, Heaven Maness, Cameron Brown, Isabella Hawks, Leighlynn Woods, Payton Fisher, Wyatt Fisher and Ashton Sullivan; along with honorary special family and friends, Aline Hickman, Brenda Stephens, Frances Webb, Betty Goins, Jerry Goins, Debra Tucker, Cindy Burnette, Kevin Galloway, Brian Hickman, Kenny Hodge, Ashley Hodge, Billy Boaz, Thomas Goins, L. J. Goins, Brittany Goins and Marcia and Bill Hairston.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Frank Goins; a brother, Jacky Goins and two sisters, Ada Lou Hooker and Deborah Ellis.
