Mrs. Margaret Ann Simpson Tucker, age 89, departed this life on Monday, March 31, 2025 at Annie Penn Hospital.

Public viewing will begin on Monday, April 7, 2025 from 12 until 7 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. from the Chapel Hill Progressive Primitive Baptist Church, 3360 Guerrant Sprints Road, Ruffin, NC. The family visitation will take place at 12 p.m. Pastor, Elder John W. France, eulogist.

The committal and interment will follow in the Chapel Hill Church Cemetery, Ruffin, NC.

Margaret Simpson Tucker was born November 8, 1935 to the late James and Minnie Simpson.

She was educated in the Caswell County School System. She was employed by the State of North Carolina as a Cafeteria Manager at Lincoln Elementary School in Ruffin, NC.

Margaret joined Chapel Hill Progressive Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Z. R. Reynolds where she was a Missionary, Usher, Secretary and Deaconess. Margaret always had a smile and a cheerful laugh.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur James Tucker; brothers, James Henry, Dewey Lee, Vernon Lane and Walter Simpson; sisters, Fannie Williamson, Dorothy Galloway and Lillian Broadnax; in-laws, Dick Millner, Deacon and Deaconess Oscar Tucker, Sr. (Jennie), Sue Tucker, Deacon and Deaconess Oscar and Early Tucker, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Ida and Kenneth Thornton, Mr. and Mrs. Linton (Dorothy) Griffin, Deacon Raymond Tucker, Deacon William Meadors and Rufus Gather.

Left to cherish her memory: Marie Millner, Virginia Broadnax and Juanita Willis (Joe), in-laws: Beatrice Tucker, Deaconess Eva Meadors, Jennie Gaither and Deacon Leondias and Deaconess Agusta Proctor, along with a host of nieces and nephews.
