Obituary: MARGARET IOWA PRICE

Margaret Iowa Price, 78, of Madison went home to be with the Lord Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Walnut Cove Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Rockingham County, Margaret was the beloved daughter of the late John Moir Price and Wylma Ferguson Price. She was a 1964 graduate of Madison-Mayodan High School. Margaret attended Draughn’s Business College, Winston Salem (Winsalm) Business College, and Guilford Technical Community College. She later continued her education in Atlanta, GA. She was employed for a number of years with a wholesale company.

Margaret was an avid reader. She loved music and dancing, watching television-especially game shows, shopping, eating at K&W, and holiday celebrations. She was a member of the Madison United Methodist Church. Her favorite scripture verse was Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother; and grandparents, John Randolph and Margaret Price.

Margaret will lie instate Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Colonial Funeral Home in Madison beginning at 9 a.m. Friends will be received from 12:00 noon until 1:45 p.m. with funeral services held at 2 p.m. with Pastor Cliff Willis and Pastor Wesley Bullins officiating. A private burial will take place at a later time.

Heartfelt thanks are extended to a special long time friend, Brenda Rominger Mabe; Bayada Home Health Care and Walnut Cove Health and Rehabilitation Center for their care during Margaret’s declining health.

Memorials may be made in Margaret’s honor to Tunnels to Towers Foundation or to the Rockingham County Animal Shelter.
