Obituary: MANUEL “PETE” FOUNTAIN

Mr. Manuel Lafayette Fountain, age 42, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025 at Annie Penn Hospital.

Public viewing will begin on Friday, June 6, 2025 from 12 until 7 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 1 p.m. from the Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 6038 Park Springs Road, Pelham, NC. The family visitation will take place at 12:30 p.m. Dr. Joan Tatum will preside and Pastor Gregory L. Hopkins, eulogist.

The committal and interment will follow in Greenview Cemetery, Reidsville, NC.

“Pete” as he was affectionately called was born on October 7, 1982 in Rockingham County, NC to Jerry Harden, Sr., and Margaretta Fountain.

Survivors include loving wife, RaShannon Fountain; twin sons, Uriah Lee Fountain and Uziah Lamont Fountain; parents, Jerry Lee Harden Sr., and Margaretta Fountain; brother, Jerry Lee Harden, Jr. (Tasha); father and mother-in-law, Reverend Gregory L. Hopkins (First Lady Tammie); sister-in-law, RaShonna Graves (Mychael); grandmother, Sarah Wright; aunts, Brenda Keesee, Annisa Wright, Edna Hairston and Gloria; uncles, Michael Fountain, Allen Fountain, Gary Fountain, Anderson Wright and John Fountain; a host of family and friends.
