Manuel Lee Harris, 58, passed away on June 7, 2022 at his residence in Eden, NC.

There will be no formal service held for Mr. Harris.

Manuel was born May 14, 1964 to the late Brenda Joyce Harris of Eden. He was known as “Lee” to everyone.  He lived his life on his terms. One of his greatest qualities was great admiration and love towards his mother.  Lee took care of her after she became disabled.  He worked as a heavy equipment operator and also was a Maintenance/Repair Man at Eubanks Trailer Park in Chapel Hill, NC, which his mom owned and operated.

Lee had no biological children but helped raise Wendy Brown Harris’ children, James Rogers, Jr., and Joni E. Rogers.  He spoke of them as his own.  Wendy’s sister Jewell Bailey spoke so kindly of Lee.

Today Lee is survived only by numerous friends. He was last seen and heard laughing outside his home on Wilshire Drive, Eden, June 7, 2022

He is preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Eubanks Harris, and wife Wendy Harris.

A special “Thank You” to Johnny Yow, Lee’s Social Worker and to a very special friend, Virginia Nichols of Graham, NC.
