Lucy Ann Craddock Comer, 80, formerly of Stoneville, a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, received her eternal reward on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.
Services will be private.
Lucy was born in Rockingham County on January 4, 1942, a daughter of John Walter Craddock and Maggie Della Vernon Craddock, both deceased. Lucy was a retired nurse’s aide who enjoyed helping others. She was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family, and the color yellow. Lucy enjoyed talking to everyone and never met a stranger. She was a devoted Christian and member of the Church of God of Prophecy for over 50 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Comer; her daughter, Caroline Ryans; and her siblings, Mary Shelton, Lorean Handy, Jim Craddock, Dick Craddock, Mack Craddock, Frank Craddock, and Bill Craddock.
Lucy is survived by her daughter, Della Hall and husband, Darryl of Stoneville; her son, Dwayne Comer and wife, Lorena, of Stoneville; her sisters, Betty Pinnix and Othelia Miller, both of Reidsville; her eight “beautiful little” grandchildren and ten “beautiful little” great grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Church of God of Prophecy, 13811 Old State Hwy 87 N, Eden, NC 27288.
