Obituary: LOUIS FRANKLIN MICHAUX

Louis Franklin Michaux, 75, died on Monday, January 29, 2024 at his home.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2024 in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Flat Rock United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Michaux was born on April 17, 1948 in Guilford County to the late Fred Michaux and Ada Stevens Michaux. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and staying on-the-go. For years he worked as a butcher at Triad Meat Supply and Jewels in Greensboro. In his later years, he stayed busy making homemade sausage and gardening.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Emily Michaux and brother, Odell Michaux.

Survivors include his daughters, Melia Horton (Terrence) and Angela Michaux; grandchildren, Shaniqua Michaux, Tabbetha Michaux, Chassie Turner, Kyrah Simpson, Kalyiah Simpson, Jaliya Michaux, Sean Michaux, Elijah Mitchell, Nasri Michaux, Dominic Michaux; great-grandchildren, Amir Turner, Valerie Turner, Ariel Turner and Adrian Michaux Solis and siblings, Michael Michaux, Linda Tyson and Bob Michaux.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel, Inc. 127 Ellisboro Road, Madison, NC 27025 to assist the family with expenses.
