Lonnie Bethea Nicholson, III, age 18, departed this life on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.
He was a native of Guilford County and a resident of Rockingham County for the majority of his life. Lonnie was a graduate of Reidsville High School, Class of 2023 where he was an outstanding football player. Adored by all who knew him, he loved his family, friends and teammates. He was known as the peacemaker and desired for everyone to be happy. We thank God for his beautiful life and precious memories to forever cherish.
Survivors are: beloved parents, Crystal Linville Saldana and Wade Nicholson; sisters, Kalaya Nicholson, Andromeda Nicholson, Alysia Aguirre, Michelle Nicholson and Kidda Nicholson; brothers, Dakota Wade, Edward Nicholson, Devin Meadows, Tyvon Smoot and Javon Scales; unborn niece or nephew; maternal grandmother, Sharon Brockbank; aunts, Athena Nelson and Briana Brugh; uncles, Jerry Nelson and “Uncle Still”; devoted girlfriend, Emily Jones; Reidsville Football Team; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2023 from the Growing Oaks Community Church, 7921 Highway 158 West with Pastor Greg Robertson presiding. The family visitation will be Friday from 12 until 1:00 p.m. at the church. Public viewing will be Thursday afternoon at Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street.
