Lindsey Lee McCollum, 31, passed away at Moses Cone Hospital on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Woodland Cemetery with Dr. Chuck McGathy officiating. Friends may sign the register and pay their respects from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Sunday at Colonial Funeral Home in Madison.
Lindsey was born on March 1st, 1992 to Jesse Lee McCollum, IV and the late Sherry Hall McCollum in Rockingham County, North Carolina. She loved taking family beach trips, hiking, drawing and coloring. Lindsey loved both of her parents unconditionally. When younger she enjoyed playing soccer, basketball, and cheering for the Rams. Lindsey attended Dalton L. McMichael High School and graduated from Merri’s Christian School. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Madison. Many will remember Lindsey working at Golden Dragon in Madison where she was known for her contagious smile and bubbly personality.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sherry Hall McCollum; grandfathers, Jesse Lee McCollum, III, and Howard Sparks.
Survivors include her father, Jesse Lee McCollum, IV (Tammy); sons, Bryson Tylor Cheshire, Michael Zane Gann, Dakota Lee Gann; grandmothers, Jeanie Case McCollum, Carol Hall Sparks; brother, Jesse Lee McCollum, V (Maggie); aunts, Evonne Chandler (Randy), Liz Gray (Brad); cousins, Will Chandler (Logan), Brittany Caudle (Josh).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Madison.
