Obituary: LINDA SHEPPARD HARRIS

< br/>

The Lord took home another loving child when he carried Linda homeward in the cradle of his arms Saturday, Friday, November 8, 2024.

Linda was a loving mom, granny, sister and friend. Her biggest source of joy was her daughter, Twila, her granddaughter, Chelsea, grandson, Blake, and great-grandson, Cameron. Her eyes would always light up at sight of them. She loved her family dearly. She spent the last several years missing her beloved husband, Bobby.

Linda devoted many years serving others as a registered nurse. She loved to do things to make people smile and to help them get through a tough spot. She will be remembered as a great cook, fantastic seamstress, and crafter with healing hands. Linda fought a valiant fight throughout her illness and kept her faith in Jesus her savior.

Linda is survived by her daughter Twila (Brian) Williams; granddaughter, Chelsea (Chris) Woods; grandson, Blake (Amelia Boles) Williams; great-grandson, Cameron Woods; sisters, Wanda (John) Henn, Connie (Dan Deese) Stephens; niece, Emmy (Ty) Cooper; sister-in-law, Kim Sheppard (Don); step nephew, Josh Branscome (Misty), and her special friend, Hilda Bullins.

In addition to her husband, Bobby Harris, she was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Georgia Sheppard; brother, Don Sheppard, and both paternal and maternal grandparents.

The visitation will be held from 1 to 2:45 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Oak Ridge Baptist Church with funeral services following at 3 p.m. Interment will be held in the church cemetery. Friends will be received all other times at the home of Twila and Brian Williams.

A special thank you to Trellis Supportive Care for the love and support during her illness.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Linda to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

Colonial Funeral Home in Sandy Ridge is serving the family.
