Linda Scearce Apple, 76, passed away on Sunday June 25, 2023 at Rockingham County Hospice Home.
Linda was born in Rockingham County to the late Aubrey and Ruby Doss Scearce. She was a paralegal for most of her adult life, working for multiple attorneys over the years, including Stan Allen, Cathy Stroupe, and the late Benjamin Wrenn, all of whom were dear friends.
Linda was known for her unique personality and sense of humor. Although she had a tough exterior, she was also known to help anyone she could …. of course it was going to be on her terms. 😊 She loved her cabin in the woods and spent much of her time there at home.
She is survived by her only child Tabetha Apple and grandson Caleb DeLancey. She is also survived by her sister Nancy Fox (David) of Raleigh and her brother Ken Scearce (Betty) of Reidsville as well as nieces and nephews.
To honor Linda’s request there will be no formal funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, PO Box 281, Wentworth, North Carolina 27375 or to Rockingham County Animal Shelter, 250 Cherokee Camp Road, Reidsville 27320.
