Obituary: LINDA KAY FRIDDLE HILTON

Linda Kay Friddle Hilton, 73, of Eden passed away Monday, December 4th, at UNC Rockingham Nursing and Rehab Center.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm Thursday, December 7th, at Flat Rock United Methodist Church in Stokesdale. Other times at the home of Bryan Hilton, 112 Brightwood Rd, Eden, NC.

Linda was born on December 31, 1950 to the late Edward Austin Friddle, Sr., and Janie Pruitt Friddle in Stokesdale. She was a homemaker most of her life after several years of working at Dixie Bearings-Applied Industrial Technologies in Danville, Va.

She never met a stranger and always opened up her home to many young people. Linda, also known as “Mama Moose”, was a Cub Scout leader to troop 520 where she mentored many young people. She received many awards through her years as a leader. Her grandchildren will always cherish the memories of Beaufort, NC, where she lived for ten years prior to moving back here.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, James Bryan Hilton (Ashley) and Christopher Jason Hilton; grandchildren, Christian Blake Hilton (fiancé, Maddie) and Andrew Collin Hilton; brother, Edward Friddle, Jr. (Linda); and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brothers, Steve Friddle and Richard Friddle.
