Leonard Wayne Griffin, 80, of Reidsville went to be with the Lord Friday July 7, 2023 at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Sunday July 9, 2023 at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Heath Lloyd and Rev. Jimmy Davis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will see friends 2:00 till 3:00 P.M. Before the service at the church and at other times at the residence of his daughter: Angie Pruitt 2140 Flat Rock Rd. Reidsville, NC.
A native of Rockingham County, he was the son of the late Robert L. Griffin Jr. and the late Maggie Lena Snyder Griffin and had lived his entire life in the Monroeton community of Rockingham County. He was the former owner and operator of Griffin Landscaping and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He was the former Chief of Monroeton Volunteer Fire Department and had served as the Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Monroeton Volunteer Fire Department. He was the Vice-president of the Antique Engine Association of Reidsville and had served on the Board of Directors of the Rockingham County Fire Commissioners.
Survivors include his wife: Sandra Williamson Griffin of the home, his daughters: Wendy Mazzuca (Vince) of Mancos, CO, and Angie L. Pruitt (Craig) of Reidsville, step-sons: Joseph D. Jones (Wendy) of Huntingtown, MD, and Justin D. Jones (Melissa) of Burlington, eight grandchildren: Joshua Pennell, Maggie Pruitt, Craig Pruitt Jr., Chad Pruitt, Hayden Jones, Hayley Jones, Jackson Jones, and Mallorie Jones, three great grandchildren: Evalynn Pruitt, Mayven Pruitt, and Maclan Pruitt.
