Leonard Leroy Williams departed this life on Tuesday afternoon, November 29, 2022.
He was a native of Canden, New Jersey and a resident of North Carolina for the majority of his life. With courage and fortitude, he served his country during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged from the United States Army, after two overseas tours. Leonard was a former employee of Karastan and Fieldcrest-Cannon Industries. Spiritually, he was a faithful member of Ambassadors For Christ Ministries, under the leadership of Bishop Leroy Valentine. During his leisure, he enjoyed fishing and playing golf.
His parents, Dora Benson Williams and Charles Williams, Sr.; brothers, Charles Williams, Jr. and Richard Williams, preceded him in death.
Survivors are: daughters, Wanda, Lisa and “Cissy”; son, Darryl; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Poindexter; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Noon Sunday, December 4, 2022 from the Ambassadors For Christ Ministries, 241 Peter Hill Road, Eden with Bishop Leroy Valentine presiding.
