Obituary: LENA MAE HARRIS BADGETT

Ms. Lena Mae Harris Badgett departed this life on Saturday morning, April 1, 2023.

As a native and lifelong resident of Rockingham County, North Carolina, she attended the local public schools and was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant. Ms. Badgett was an affiliated with Smyrna Church of Christ at a tender age.

Her parents, Maggie Harris and Allen Settle; beloved husbands, Marvin Watson and Pearlie Leon Badgett, preceded her in death.

Survivors are: sister, Geraldine Blackwell; special nieces, Desiree Tillman (Gilbert), Hermanda Williamson (Donnie) and Angela Foust; 3 great-nieces; 2 great-nephews; special friends, Kirk Patrick Graves and Dorothy Blackwell; other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2023 from the chapel of Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street with Elder Gilbert Tillman presidng.
