Obituary: LASHINDA ALVERSON McGHEE

Mrs. Lashinda Alverson Mc Ghee, the beloved wife of Daquan Mc Ghee, departed this life on Monday afternoon, June 12, 2023.
As a native and resident of Rockingham County, North Carolina for the majority of her life, she attended the local public schools and was a graduate of Rockingham County High School. Spiritually, she was a member of Chapel Hill Progressive Primitive Baptist Church. During her leisure, she enjoyed cooking, socializing and spending time with her family.
Her father, George Richard Pass, Jr.; maternal grandmother, Doris Palmer Alverson; paternal grandmother, Betty Pass preceded her in death.
Survivors are: husband, Daquan McGhee; children, Heaven, Angel, Serenity, Aiden and Wynter; step-daughter, Zakiyah; beloved mother, Debbie Alverson; sisters, Kanisha Alverson (Atlanta), Charity Alverson and Tamika Cummings; a host of aunts and uncles; mother-in-law, Renae Lane McGhee (Loren); special friends, Erica Broadnax, Trina Hairston, Sharon “Penny” Irving, Chris Wheeler and Mario Davis; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2023 from the Cornerstone Christian Center, 516 North Scales Street. The family visitation will be Friday from 12:30 until 1:00 p.m. at the church. Public viewing will be Thursday afternoon at Johnson & Sons.
