Larry Edward Lentz, 84, of Eden passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville.
A memorial service will be held 11am Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Church of the Epiphany, 538 Henry St, Eden, with Reverend Linda Nye and Reverend Danielle Hammett officiating. Full Military Honors and Inurnment will follow at the Columbarium.
Larry was born April 8, 1938, in Concord, NC, to the late Harry Lester Lentz and Daisy Cain Lentz. He was a graduate of Appalachian State University. Larry served his country in the US Air Force and in the National Guard. He retired from Knight Oil Company where he worked as an accountant. He was an avid sports fan, especially golf, whether watching or playing, and a big fan of the Washington Redskins (Commanders). Larry enjoyed reading his Bible. He liked fishing and loved his cat, Rosie. He liked spending time at the beach and loved his sweets. He enjoyed helping others. Larry loved spending time with his granddaughters most of all.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Barbara Robbins Lentz; daughters, Kimberly Ann Lentz, Kelly Lentz Horsley and Rod Horsley; grandchildren, Kennedy Horsley and fiancé Michael Walker, Kylee Horsley.
