Larry Donnell Pass, the beloved husband of Verna King Pass, departed this life on Monday afternoon, May 22, 2023.
As a native and lifelong resident of Rockingham County, North Carolina, he attended the local public schools and was a retired brick mason. During his leisure, he enjoyed socializing, fishing, watching westerns on television and listening to music.
His parents, Lucy Pass Lane and David Palmer; brother, Dwayne Pass, preceded him in death.
Survivors are: beloved wife of 37 years, Verna King Pass; daughters, Jessica King, Darlene Foster (William), Willie Mae Brown (Kelly) and Velma Slade (Albert); 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Sharon Annette Wheeler (James) and Darnese Pass; uncle, Will Pass; aunt, Betty Pass; special friends, Donnie Totten, Raynard Hart, Bruce Blackwell, Rick Hairston, Tonette Neal, Darlene Neal, Cynthia Logan, Joyce Ann Covington, Debbie Alverson, Carl Alverson and Buck Alverson; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2023 from the chapel of Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street with Elder Mary K. Thomas presiding.
Public viewing will be Saturday afternoon at Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street.
