Obituary: KENNETH WAYNE WILLIAMS

Kenneth Wayne Williams, 86, of Eden passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023 at the Gibson House in Wentworth.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 1pm at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Kenneth was born in Eden on March 8, 1936 the son of Corbett Carter Williams and Margaret Talbert Williams, both deceased. He retired from DuPont as a carpenter. He loved golfing, hunting and fishing. He was a diehard North Carolina Tarheels fan and the love of his life were his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Ratliff Williams of the home; his children, Amber Batchek of High Point and Michael Williams and wife, Susan of New Smyrna, Florida; his stepdaughter, Lisa Sweeney and husband, Jason of Martinsburg, WVA; his grandchildren, Kayleigh Batchek, Cohen Batchek and Dakota Batchek all of High Point and his step grandchildren, Isaac Stambaugh and Sophia Stambough of Martinsburg, WVA.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jean Grogan.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening, February 3, 2023, from 6 until 7:30pm at Boone and Cooke Funeral Home.
The family request donations be made in memory of Kenneth to the Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
