Kay Montgomery Holliday, 67, of Eden passed away Friday, April 14, 2023 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.

There will be no formal service per Kay’s request.

Kay was born July 1, 1955 to the late Walter J. Montgomery and Joan Scott Montgomery. Her working years were spent at Fieldcrest and Karastan Mills, K-mart, Creighton Shirt, and the Bayberry, Eden Ridge. Later, she became a homemaker.

Kay loved life. She adored animals. She loved spending time with her family, watching T.V., cooking or grilling out. She wanted to be with family no matter what they were doing. She loved watching Turner Classic Movies and soap operas. Kay loved listening to and watching videos and concerts of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

Kay was a kind, loving, and caring Mother and Sister. She was awesome! Kay was a kind-hearted person who would do anything for anyone. She will be deeply missed, never forgotten, and will live in our hearts forever!
She fought the fight and she finished the race.

Kay was like a sister, mother, and best friend all in one.

Surviving are her son, Ronald Glenn Holliday, Jr., and sister, Sherree M. Wilson and husband Keith; life-long best friend, Rhonda Horton.

In addition to her parents, Kay is preceded in death by her K-9 companion, Rowdy.
