Katherine Marie Denny Pryor, 55, of Reidsville went to be with the Lord Tuesday morning October 18th. She was surrounded by her husband and boys in the home she and her husband Charles built together.
A celebration of her life and her love for the Lord will take place at a graveside service at Mt. Carmel Church Thursday morning at 11:00.
Kathy grew up farming with her family and as her husband Charles likes to say, “She was a simple farm girl when I met her but the woman she became was extraordinary— full of strength, beauty, and wisdom.”
Kathy’s greatest accomplishment and title was that of loving wife and mother. Zach, Caleb, and Luke brought her great joy. Her love for them led her to dedicate much of her time and energy to homeschooling each of them so that they could learn and grow in an environment full of grace and faith.
She and her husband Charles were married for 36 years and they found great joy in just being together. From the moment they fell in love not a single day passed that they did not see each other. After working together for Burlington Industries for 20 years, they started working from their home. Friends and family fondly remember the two of them sitting on their front porch daily enjoying their “coffee break” together.
Kathy’s love of family began with her own good parents Tom and Helen Denny. She never wanted to miss an opportunity to show her love for them and her siblings. Kathy’s love for family and faith in God’s unending love was the compass that guided her life.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father Thomas Denny and by her sister Patricia Louise Denny. She is survived by her husband Charles and her sons Zachary, Caleb, and Luke, her mother Helen Denny, brothers Ray and wife Tonya, Wayne and wife Jan, and Timmy Denny. There are also precious nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
She will be missed dearly. Our prayer is that her strength, faith, and love will guide us fearlessly into the life ahead.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County at PO 241, Wentworth, NC 27375.
