Karen Louise Robertson, 75, a lifelong resident of Eden, NC passed away early Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, NC.
Born June 7, 1949, in Leaksville, NC, Karen was the daughter of the late Hunter Dewey Robertson and Margaret Gilbert Robertson.
Karen’s life was dedicated to her family and friends all across Rockingham County. Everyone who knew her, knew that she was constantly on the move and always sharing a story about a friend or relative. She enjoyed a good laugh more than just about anything. Her family life was full of humor and fellowship with 19 aunts and uncles and over 40 cousins from the Robertson and Gilbert families. Karen was always proud of her family’s service, with a father who served in the Navy during World War II and a brother who served in the Army National Guard and was a life-long paramedic.
A graduate of Morehead High School, Karen held multiple jobs, but she found the most meaning working to support children with special needs. She was a diehard NASCAR fan and stayed true to the Dallas Cowboys her whole life.
In recent years, she made many friends at Brookdale Senior Living in Eden, NC and Highgrove Long Term Care Center in Reidsville, NC.
She is preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother. She leaves behind a large and loving group of uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces from the Robertson, Gilbert and Blanton families.
Flowers, memorials, and well wishes can be sent to Fair Funeral Home.
