“I have finished the race; I have kept the faith…” (II Timothy 4:7). Karel Jean Roberts, born October 8, 1954 in Guilford County” finished her race on earth Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center, Black Mountain, NC.

Karel was a graduate of South Stokes High School and formerly employed as a supervisor with Milpak Graphics, Inc. She was a gentle soul with a big heart. She gave to so many and asked for little in return. Karel thought of others first, wanted everyone around her to be happy, and did whatever she could to make sure others had what they needed. Foremost, she loved family, especially nieces and nephews. Her fur babies were an important part of Karel’s life. She was a talented musician, skilled guitarist, who enjoyed all types of music.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Winfred “Wimp” Ray Roberts and Alma Jean Boles Roberts; brothers-in-law, Jerry Hodges and Charles “Rock” Oldham.
Karel Jean is survived by her stepmother, Sarah Long Roberts; brothers, Johnny (Kathie) Roberts and Alan (Susan) Roberts; sisters, Ann R. (Billy) Kiser, Jan R. Hodges, Terri R. Oldham, Lisa R. (Mike) Beasley; many nieces and nephews, and Lorraine Holt, a close friend to Karel for 33 years.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the Stoney Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, 1030 Stoney Ridge Rd, Westfield, N.C.

The family extends their appreciation to angels on earth, the staff at Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center, for their awesome care and support throughout Karel Jean’s stay.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made Black Mountain Center Foundation, Attn: Ann Martin, 932 Old US Hwy 70 W, Black Mountain, N.C. 28711.
