Justin “Hunter” Knight, 28, died on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
A private funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2023 in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Knight Family Cemetery, Concord Church Road in Stuart, Virginia. The family will receive friends at the home of his mother in Kernersville.
Hunter was born on November 23, 1994 in Guilford County. He had a need for speed and had a passion for fishing. For many years, Hunter was a talented kart racer, something he enjoyed greatly. Hunter was a mamas boy, the family comedian and prankster and will forever be remembered for helping anyone in need, never meeting a stranger, loving life to the fullest and living it his way.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jaxston Wayne Knight; maternal grandfather, John Dunlap; paternal grandparents, Donald Ray Knight, Sr. and Margarett C. Knight and step-father, Marty Easter.
Survivors include his beloved son and pride and joy, Dallas Ray Knight; the love of his life, Katie Knight; parents, Donald “Donnie” Ray Knight, II of Madison and Carol Dunlap Easter of Kernersville; sister, LeeAnn Nicole White of Mayodan; nephews, Dhavian Redd and Chayton Reid; maternal grandmother, Ruth Dunlap of Mayodan; aunts and uncles, Tammy Goolsby (Mike) of Madison, Misty Dawn Hopper (Jason) of Madison, Ronald Craig Knight of Stuart, Virginia and Randy Karl Knight of Walkertown, along with many loving extended family members and friends.
