Obituary: JUNE TYSOR ORE

June Tysor Ore, 88, left this earthly life on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Gibson House Hospice.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at the Mayodan Moravian Church with the Reverend Leslie Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the Mayodan Municipal Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the church.

Mrs. Ore was born on October 30, 1934 in Guilford County to the late V.W. Tysor, Sr. and Allie Knight Tysor. She retired from Sears & Roebuck and was a very active member of the Mayodan Moravian Church. June enjoyed volunteer work, most recently with the Hands of God and previously with the American Red Cross and other various organizations.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Jefferson Ore; grandson, Andy Kovalchik; brothers, Wade Tysor, V.W. Tysor, Jr., Eldridge Tysor and Dalton Tysor and sister, Jean Dillon.

Survivors include her daughter, Sheilah Hundley (Mark Webster); son, Marty Jay Ore; brothers, Leon Tysor (Verna) and Bowman Tysor; sister, Peggy T. Mills; special niece, Anita Hardy; special canine companions, Champ and many extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to Hospice of Rockingham County and/or the Mayodan Moravian Church.
