Obituary: JUNE CULVER BROWN

Mrs. June Culver Brown, the beloved wife of Jerry Brown, departed this life on Sunday, April 9, 2023.

As a native of Georgia and a resident of North Carolina for the majority of her life, she attended the local public schools and was a former employee of Karastan Rug Company. Spiritually, she was a faithful member of Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Being a loving wife, mother and sister, she enjoyed helping others, socializing, dancing and spending time with family.

Her parents, Pearlene Jones Culver and Henry Culver, Sr.; son, Jarratt Brown; siblings, Wylie Culver, Lorenza Ford and Jerry Culver, preceded her in death. Survivors are: beloved husband 33 years, Jerry Brown; daughter, Jerlesa Brown (Willie); sons, Jervis Brown (Karen) and Jerry Brown, Jr. (Ashley); grandchildren, Kajah Brown, Rihanna Settle, Andraea Brown, Jadin Brown, Romeo Pye and Londre Berstein; sisters, Inez Laseter, Gladys Odom, Rejoice White, Judy Broadnax (Joe) and Pearlene Scales (Clarence); brothers, Henry Culver, Jr. (Mary), Waymond Culver (Mary) and Raymond Culver; aunt, Anna Williams; sister-in-law, Carrie Sue Culver; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023 from the Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 6038 Park Springs Road, Pelham with Pastor Gregory L. Hopkins presiding. The family visitation be Saturday from 2 until 2:30 p.m. at the church. Public viewing will be Friday afternoon at Johnson & Sons, 115 Holderby Street.
