Obituary: JUDY VADEN GANN

Judy Vaden Gann, 76, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Gibson House in Reidsville.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, October 5th, at Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel in Madison. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service (1 – 2 PM) at the funeral home.

Judy was born April 21, 1946 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Henry Washington Vaden and Ada Pearl Mabe Vaden. She was a member of New Vision Fellowship Church, a retiree of Gann’s Hardware and had also worked as a beautician. Judy was an avid NASCAR fan.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Thomas Gann of the home and her sister, Linda Priddy (Ronnie) of Stoneville; son, James Allen Joyce of Martinsville, VA; daughter, Candace Joyce White (Ronnie) of Madison; four grandchildren, Lindsey Jordan White Foster, Trey White, Daniel Joyce and Chelsea Lawson and great-grandchildren, Owen Stillwell, Jordan Foster, Lawson Stillwell, Eleanor Joyce, Margaret Joyce, Abigail Joyce, Sunny Lawson, Remington Foster, Macie Foster and Baby Joyce who is due any day.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Waddell Joyce and niece, Terri Lynn Priddy.
