Obituary: JUDY MABE

Judy Linda Hamlin Mabe, 77, born in Stokes County, on July 3, 1947, entered eternal rest Thursday, February 6, 2025, at LifeBrite Community Hospital.

Judy was a special wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a farmer and nursing assistant who always dedicated her life to caring for others with compassion and love.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd S. Mabe; parents, Coley Bob Hamlin and Mary Ellen Collins Hamlin; two sisters, Barbara Howell and Mary Jane Hamlin; and two brothers, Jesse Hamlin and Curtis Lee Hamlin.

Judy is survived by three sons, Ricky Mabe (Theresa), Joey Mabe, Eric Mabe (Michele), a daughter, Cindy M. Sprinkle (Tony); a brother, Billy Hamlin (Georgia). Also left to cherish Judy’s memory are her precious grandchildren, Alisha Korba, Tessa Sprinkle, Kayla Bohannon, Michael Huffman, Jacob Mabe, Samantha Mabe, Treyson Mabe, Aleah Mabe, Savannah Holland, Corbin Mabe, Lily Mabe, Logan Mabe, and nine great-grandchildren, Erin Bohannon, Ellie Bohannon, Everleigh Bohannon, Keaton Ballard, Bentley Huffman, Bailey Huffman, Rhettlee Mabe, Caroline Holland, and Magnolia Holland.

A visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m., Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel with Funeral Services following at 3 p.m. Interment will be held at the Snow Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Lawsonville. Friends will also be received all other times at Judy’s home.
