Judith Smith Land, 84, of Reidsville went home to be with the Lord Friday, February 7, 2025.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
She was born in Rockingham County to the late Frederick Darien Smith and Inez Faulkner Smith.
Judy was a wonderful Christian woman with a heart full of love. She had a passion for photography, with her children and grandchildren often being her favorite subjects. A creative soul, she enjoyed scrapbooking, and arts and crafts, and was a talented home decorator who even designed their family home. Her husband built that house for her- every single nail placed with love. Judy was a lifetime member of Baptist Temple Church. She adored her family and cherished her time with them. Shopping was another joy—whether it was window shopping or catching a deal on QVC. Her warmth, creativity, and love for others will be deeply missed.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Benjamin Cozart Land and sister MaryAnne Freeman and her husband Jack and her brother-in-law Jack Knight.
Judy is survived by her two daughters: Vickie Land and Tammy Hall and husband, Dwayne both of Reidsville; grandchildren: Emily Gunn of Reidsville, Heather Burtt and husband, Tony of Providence, and Benjamin Dylan French and wife, Danielle of Reidsville; two great-grandchildren: Braeden and Tyler; sister, Nancy Knight of Hillsboro; niece, Gina Knight and nephew, Rick Freeman.
