Obituary: JUDITH MARIE WHEELESS HILL

Judith Marie Wheeless Hill, 77, of Mayodan, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Mt. Hermon Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David B. Singletary officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the church and all other times at their home.

Judi was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 12, 1946, to the late Jesse and Deltha Beaty Wheeless. She served in the United States Navy and was a registered nurse for 42 years. She was also a member of Mt. Hermon Methodist Church. Judi was a very gifted seamstress and really enjoyed quilting. She also loved her plants, the beach, and visiting with her children.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Tony Kares Hill; her children, Stephanie Rae McQuillan, Thomas William Hill, David Alan Jones, Allison Marie Phillips, and Jesse Kares Hill; grandchildren, Samantha McQuillan, Cameron McQuillan, Kinsey Hill, Alana Hill, and Mark Phillips.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude PL, Memphis, TN 38105.

The family would like to thank Dr. Dettinger and the staff of Western Rockingham Family Medicine for the excellent care provided to Judi through this difficult time.
