Jon Richard Swain, 58 of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Friday July 29, 2022 at his home after a battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday August 1, 2022 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Jones and Rev. Billy Harmon officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will see friends 10:00 till 11:00 AM Monday before the service at Citty Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of Wayne and Kay Jones 174 County Line Rd. Reidsville, NC.

A native of Danville, VA, he was a son of the late George Carey Swain, Jr. and the Late Marie Atkinson Talley and had lived in Rockingham County most of his life. Jon was a former employee of Branch Tower Erection Co. in Reidsville and most recently worked for Sink Tower Erection Co. in Lexington, NC. He was an active member of The Rock Church and enjoyed working and helping at the church. He loved his family and looked forward to family gatherings. Jon had a strong work ethic and took pride in working in his yard.  He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother: George Carey Swain, Jr. and his stepmother Linda Weeks Swain, his mother and stepfather: Marie Atkinson Talley and stepfather Ronald Talley, a brother: George Carey Swain, III, and a nephew: Brenden Wilson.

Survivors include his wife of seven years: Lisa Jones Swain of the home, brother: Jimmy Swain (Shannon) of Denver, NC, sisters: Donna Wilson (Mark) of Fayetteville, NC, Deborah Prescott (James) of Eden, and Holly Duncan (Jackie) of Ridgeway, VA, brother-in-law: Mark Wayne Jones (Jennifer) of Sanford, NC, father-in-law and mother-in-law: Wayne and Kay Jones of Reidsville, nieces and nephews: Krista Marie Swain (Lance Hash), Joshua Carey Swain (Jessica),Darren Wilson, Emily Prescott, Will Prescott, Alex Parsons, Austin Parsons, Kristen Duncan, Wade Duncan, Conner Swain, Carson Swain, and Beth Ashburn (T.J.), great nieces and nephews: Lydia Wilson, Callie Wilson, Hartley Mullins, Roman Coe Hash, Lily Ashburn,  Harper Ashburn and his canine companion Baby Boy.
