Mrs. Johnnie Mae Rouse German, age 79, transitioned from this life into eternal rest on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, NC.
Public viewing will begin Friday, August 23, 2024 from 12 until 8 p.m. at McLaurin-Harris Funeral Home, 721 East Morehead Street, Reidsville, NC.
The family will receive guest at: 121 Brookview Drive, Reidsville, NC.

Johnnie Mae was born in Nichols, SC to the late Rosalie and Johnnie Wesley Rouse.
She attended Finklea High School in Finklea, SC. After graduation, she met Willie Dean German who she married and had three children.
In 1970, she moved to Reidsville, NC where she worked at Burlington Industries and Cone Mills for over 30 years and later home health care until she retired.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also loved to grow flowers and shopping with her friends.
For many years, she was a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church and sang in the choir.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela G. Evans; brother, Robert Wesley Rouse; sister, Mary Alice Gore.
She leaves to mourn her loss: two sons, Dwight German and Tommy German of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Tommy German Jr. (T.J.), Dominique Evans of Greensboro, NC, Christina Herring of Greensboro, NC, Jessica Kornegay and SanDra White; great-granchildren, Timothy Aikens, III, Dominique Evans, Jr., of Reidsville, Duke Kornegay, Kymani Kornegay, Jayden Kornegay, Nyla Kornegay, Saniya White, Jermaine White, Nyomi White, Layona White; one sister, Betty Rouse of Reidsville; one brother, Emory Rouse (Diane) of New York; special niece, Shanik C. Jones and Nydja S. Rouse; special friends, Geraldine Blackwell, Gail White and Boose; a host of nieces, nephews, relative and friends whom she loved dearly.
