Obituary: JOHN ROBERT HALE

John Robert Hale, 90, of Eden, passed away on October 31, 2022, after an illness of two years at his residence.
A funeral service will be held at 1pm Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Fair Funeral Home Chapel in Eden. Burial will follow at Happy Home Congregational Church Cemetery in Ruffin, NC. Mr. Hale will lie-in-repose on Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 9am-1pm.
John was born June 7, 1932, in Draper (Eden), NC, to Alfred and Lucienda Joyce Hale, both deceased. He lived in Eden all of his life; he was employed and retired from Fieldcrest Mills. He was married to Ronelda (Nell) Jones Hale on October 11, 1952. They were happily married for 70 years.
He is survived by his son Steve Hale and his wife Kathy; three grandchildren, Christy Shore, Stephanie Dillion and Matt, Steve Hale and Jennifer; six great-grandchildren, Shawn Kendrick and Josh, Walker Dillon, Max, Luke, Addie and Zack Hale; sister, Janice Bouldin; special friends, Ron Janney, Ken Sharpe, and Curtis Wilson.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Shore; grandson, John Shore, five brothers, George, Mac, Booty, Bo, and Nick; three sisters, Nannie-Bet, Vivian, and Lorene.
