Obituary: JOHN HENRY WHITE, JR

John Henry White, Jr., 81, died on Friday, April 7, 2023 at his home.

No formal services will be held at this time.

Mr. White was born on June 22, 1941 in Rockingham County to the late John Henry White, Sr. and Mary Sizemore White. John worked in textiles for many years and founded the Huntsville Soccer Program many years ago. He also coached local basketball and baseball and was active as a Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Mary C. White; children, Sherry Hill (Terry), Carolyn Brown (Johnny), Brian Edward White, Miranda Lee White, Sean Connolly White and Thomas Michael White; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and siblings, Doris Craig, Cynthia Alderman, Ricky White and Frances Blackwood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Huntsville Fire Department, 1133 Sardis Church Road, Madison, NC 27025.

Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
