John Henry Mills, Sr. departed this life on Sunday, May 7, 2023 in the Metro Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio.
Born on June 3,1923 in Memphis, Tennessee, he was the offspring of the late John and Hattie Mills. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and operated an auto body shop for many years.
In addition to his parents, wife, Louise Thomas Mills; a son, John “Butch” Mills, Jr.; siblings, Bertha Maxwell, Tess Mills and Charlie Mills, preceded him in death.
Survivors are: devoted life partner, Delois Ann Neal; loving daughters, Pamela Mills Matthews, Charlotte Y. Mills Carswell; step-son, Ronnie Johnson; 4 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be Sunday, May 28, 2023 from the Salvation Army Church, 704 Barnes Street at 2:00 p.m.
