John Baines Manley, 60, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at his residence.

John was born on August 27, 1964 in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Lacy and Maggie Manley. He enjoyed the outdoors, NASCAR racing, football, and wrestling. John also loved working in the construction business in his many areas of expertise. He helped numerous people and was always willing to lend a helping hand. John was a loving husband and took very good care of his wife Cynthia. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, James Alexander Manley; sisters, Ginger Randall, Tammy Manley, and Laura Mechaw.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Cynthia Manley; son, John Baines Manley Jr.; daughter, Heather Michelle Manley ; brothers, Lacy Skipper Manley, George Manley, and Earnest Darrell Manley(Heather King); sisters, Debbie Manley and Sylvia Manley; special niece Maddie Manley; in addition to 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will hold a memorial service for John at a later date.
