

Reverend Jimmy Reaves, 92, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
Mr. Reaves was born in Harnett County, North Carolina, on September 19, 1932 to John and Lilly Reaves. He was a pastor and member of Welcome Baptist Church, Blanch, NC. He was also an honorably discharged member of the Army, having obtained the status of Sgt. First Class, which he received numerous medals for his service in the Korean War, most notably the Purple Heart. He married Doris Joan Hinson on September 4, 1953, who predeceased him in July, 2018.
Reverend Reaves is survived by a son, Michael Reaves (Lou Ann), daughter Cathy Wright (Mike), daughter Patti Rivenbark and son David Reaves (Angie), eight grandchildren, Jessica W. Strader (Brandon), Ashley R. Fisher (Jason), Michael Wright (Kirsten), Elizabeth Strader (Bobby), Justin Reaves (Ashley), Wesley Wright (Kylie), Jason Reaves (Ashley), and Jacob Reaves (Megan) and 17 greatgrandchildren. He was also predeceased by his parents and siblings, Elton, Mearl, Pearl and Vearl.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a Hospice organization of your choice in memory of Mr. Reaves.
