Jimmy Miles Harrell, 84, of Stoneville, NC, died peacefully on December 13, 2023, embraced by his lifelong love and wife, Faye Harrell. Having known each other since middle school, Faye and Jimmy were happily married for 64 years.
Born in Greensboro on May 1, 1939, to the late David M. Harrell and Annie Cox Harrell, Jimmy’s passions usually meant a fishing rod in one hand and a mason’s trowel in the other. He built hundreds of homes, schools and offices in all parts of the world. He served as President of Triad Masonry Materials and was celebrated over and over for his contributions and achievements. He also caught a lot of fish.
A man of true faith, great humor and deep love, he is survived by his beloved wife, Faye; his children, Danny, Greg (Pam) and Amy (Scott); his grandchildren, Hunter (Cory), Lindsey Castellanos (David), Aubrie Stoneman and Violet; his great-grandchildren, Hayden and Colby, and Gavin Castellanos; and his sister, Betty Anne Lee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wallace Harrell.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Osborne Baptist Church, Eden, NC, with visitation following the service.
