Jimmie Lee Martin, 70, of Stoneville, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Ancora Compassionate Care.

Jimmie was born in Rockingham County on May 26, 1954, to the late Walter Lee and Gracie Martin. He worked in textiles for much of his life, giving over 35 years to Unifi. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved reading his bible, watching Duke Blue Devils, and playing guitar.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Lawson Martin; and sisters, Judy Martin and Brenda Dunlap.

Survivors include his sons, Benjamin Lee Martin (Crystal) of Madison and Chris Martin (Jennie) of Stoneville; five grandchildren, Hanna Martin, Summer Martin, Izayah Martin, Grace Martin, and Hunter Martin; one niece and two nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ancora Compassionate Care, P.O. Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.

A 2:00 p.m. funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Ray Funeral Home with Pastor Jaret McBryde officiating. Burial will follow in the Joyce-Martin Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Ray Funeral Home and all other times at the home of Timmy Dunlap, 913 Janet Road in Stoneville.
