Jesse “J.T.” Thomas Hale, Jr., 75, of Eden passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro.
J.T. was born September 2, 1948, to the late Jesse Thomas Hale, Sr., and Edith Rickman Hale. He was a graduate of Morehead High School, class of ’67. J.T. was a member of the Church of the Brethren. J.T. was the owner-operator of Quality Cleaners in Eden, where he worked his whole life. J.T. loved his work, including getting to know his customers and their families, and appreciated his customers and their support. He never met a stranger. He enjoyed carving wood and four wheeling, and spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Doris Cole Hale; children, Shannon Hale (John), Angela Evans, Peyton Priddy (Kelly), Tripp Hale (Desiree), Patricia Edwards; grandchildren, Staci Evans, J.C. Evans, Triston Hale, Laticia Dillon, Gary Dillon, DeShawn Edwards (Cheyenne); great-grandchildren, Kendall and Braydon Younger, Liam Evans, Greyson Priddy, Drake and Dustin Trent; sisters, Melinda Joyce (Lemmie), Denise Blakeney (Jim), Susan Walker (Greg).
In addition to his parents, J.T. is preceded in death by his sister, Karen Sineath, and grandchildren, Braxton Priddy and Hannah Priddy.
