Obituary: JERRY WAYNE KNIGHT

Jerry Wayne Knight, 64, went to be with his Lord on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.
A life-long resident of Reidsville, Jerry was born on May 13, 1960. He was a son of Mike Knight and Judy Carter Jackson and was retired from ESI where he was an Electrical Supervisor. He loved NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt was his favorite driver and he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. Jerry was a 1978 graduate of RCHS and was preceded in death by his granddaughter: Haylea Starr Knight and his paternal grandparents: Hassell and Velma Knight and by his maternal grandparents: Howard and Casteen Carter.
He is survived by his daughters: Tiffany Knight and LaDonna Knight (Walter) both of Reidsville, his mother: Judy Carter Jackson of Reidsville, his father: Mike Knight (Marie) of Stoneville, his brothers: Mark Knight of Reidsville and Chris Knight (Lana) of Gautier, Miss, his grandchildren: Marah Stokes, Camden Landis, Jaylea Knight and Zayden Williamson, his nieces and nephews: Kelsey Knight, Cecily Knight, Michael Knight, Noah Smith, Skylea Knight.
Our dad will be dearly missed by family and friends. His family was his pride and joy and his greatest role in life was being Papa Jerry to his grandkids. He showed unconditional love to his family and always made sure to say “I Love You” more than twice.
