Obituary: JERRY ROGER BENNETT

Jerry R Bennett, 86, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, November 5, 2022, at his residence in Reidsville following a long illness.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church located at 2230 Lees Chapel Rd, Greensboro, NC, service with be officiated by Pastor Steve Gunter.
The family will receive friends and family at the church Sunday from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m.
Jerry was born in Guilford County August 17, 1936, a son of the late William and Mary Bennett. He was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church for over 40 years and loved his church family dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughters, Darlene Bostick Lasher and Cynthia Roberts.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara A Bennett; daughters, Joyce Sellers and her husband Robert; Kim Flinchum and her husband Jeff; Gwen Money and her husband Rick; and a son Donnie Whitfield; brothers, Bill Bennett, Bob Bennett and sisters, Peggy Rogers and Linda Godwin; he has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who all had a very special place in his heart.
Our thanks go out to all the hospice caregivers that were there to support him and the family in his final days.
