Jerry Lee Meeks, 86, of Eden went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning July 16, 2023 at the UNC Rockingham Nursing Center.
A Graveside service will be held Thursday, July 20th at 10:00am in the Dan View Cemetery.
Jerry was born November 26, 1936 to the late William Morris Meeks and Elizabeth Saunders Meeks of Rockingham Co.
Jerry was the long time owner of Jerry’s Restaurant in Eden. He loved making good food and loved his customers. Jerry was very active at the Immanuel Friends Church and loved to sing.
Mr. Meeks is survived by his beloved wife, Joy Meeks; sons and their families, Eric Woods of Pikeville, NC, Matthew Woods of St Louis, MO, Stephen Woods of Eden, NC; sister. Nancy Willis; special niece, Maryanna Wilson, caregiver, Anita Carrol; Jerry’s favorite cat, Suede.
Along with his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Meeks, Andy Meeks, Ted Meeks and Bill Meeks; sister’s, Gaynelle Mitchell and Elizabeth Martin,
