Jerry Dean Porter, Sr., 69 of Eden, passed away January 22, 2025 at his home.
There will be no formal service per his wishes.
Jerry was born February 22, 1955 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Robert Kenneth Porter and Pauline Scott Porter. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Jerry worked as an electrician for Duke Power until his retirement.
Surviving are his children, Bridget P. Campbell of Reidsville, Jerry Dean Porter, Jr. (Rachel) of Charleston, SC, Tracy Shambly of VA; several grandchildren; sister, Deborah Gardner of Eden; brother, Donald Gray Porter (Glenda) of Pelham.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Vernon Porter.
