Jeffrey Ryan Freeman, 50, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Moses Cone Hospital.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ray Funeral Home.
Jeff was born in Rockingham County on May 2, 1972, to Calvin and Linda McDonald Freeman. He attended Lees-McRae College before transferring to Appalachian State University. Jeff was a Tar Heel fan and also coached basketball for the YMCA. He loved having a good time, going to the pool, bowling, and most of all, cooking.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Freeman.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Linda McDonald Freeman of the home; his children, Harleigh and Logan Freeman of Greensboro; best friend, Dell Gorman; his nieces, Mallory Freeman (Dalton Scott), Ashley Joy (Patrick), and Taylor Burkett; nephew, Ricky Purdue; great nieces, Riley Scott and Rosaleen Joy; great nephews, Ayden Scott and Jace Joy; extended family, Jennifer Bullins (Lee), David Stevens and Whitney and Edward Prince, Caroline Perry, Maggie and Forrest Bullins.
