Jeffrey Allen “Butch” Hawkins, 66, of Mayodan, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Eden Health and Rehab.
A 2:00 p.m. memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Patricia Spicer officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Butch was born in Forsyth County on March 16, 1956, to the late Pete and Delores Goins Hawkins. He was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed eating out, listening to southern rock music, and the outdoors, especially the mountains and beach.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Pryor Hawkins; and his grandmother, Hallie “Granny” Goins.
Those left to cherish his memory are his stepdaughter, Michelle Lawson of Illinois; his half-brother, Everett Milan and wife Jennifer of Stokesdale; his half-sister, Mitzi Bradshaw of Madison; his aunt, Shirley Lawson of Stoneville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church, 2712, Settle Bridge Road, Stoneville, NC 27048.
