Obituary: JANICE McCOLLUM

Janice McCollum, 84, of Eden passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Eden Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
A private burial will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens in Eden.
Janice was born September 12, 1940 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late John William McCollum and Lucy Verlie Griffin McCollum. She was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. Janice worked as a security guard at Pillowtex until her retirement.
Surviving are her sisters, Judy Lowe (Ken) and Jeanette Underwood (Ronnie), both of Eden; brother, J.W. McCollum (Ruth) of Eden; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Janice is preceded in death by her son, Jamie Tilley.
The family would like to thank the staff at Eden Rehabilitation and Health Care as well as her roommate, Susan Woods, for their care, compassion, and friendship.
