Ruth “Jane” Richardson Collins, 93, passed away Monday afternoon, July 18, 2022, at UNC-Rockingham Rehab & Nursing Care Center in Eden.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 23rd, at Ellisboro Baptist Church Cemetery in Madison. The family will receive friends Friday evening, 7 – 9 PM, at Colonial Funeral Home.
A Rockingham County native, Jane was born January 23, 1929 to the late Hardy B. Richardson and Victoria Pearl Spencer Richardson. She was a retired secretary.
Jane is survived by her two children, William R. “Billy” Collins, Jr. and wife, Brenda, and Ken Collins; grandchildren, Jessica Anderson, Micah Collins and Matthew Collins; great-grandchildren, Payton Anderson, Ella Anderson and Asher Anderson; sister, Ila Hughes; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Collins, Sr.
Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel in Madison is serving the family.
