James Lee McDougal, Husband, Soulmate, Father, Papa, friend and mentor to so many did not come to an end with his death, Jim passed away on December 22nd, 2022 at Moses Cone Hospital, with his family by his side.
He was born in Pensacola, Florida and we preceded in death by his mother, Eileen (Carte) McDougal, father Graffics Lee McDougal, sister Judy Dix and daughter Mikkel McDougal. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Deanna (Lloyd) McDougal, of Reidsville NC, 3 children Tia McDougal (Brennan Lea), Keegan McDougal of Reidsville, and Micah (Light) Donai of Morgantown West Virginia. 6 Grandchildren, Noah Tuttle, Oliver (Ollie) Lea both of Reidsville, Madison Anthony Maris Anthony Levi Anthony and Jett Donai of Morgantown West Virginia. 5 siblings Bob & Betty McDougal, Karen & Harold Coleman, Doug McDougal, Elaine and Bill Goots, Ernie & Sharon McDougal.
Jim found the beauty and best in everything and everyone. He was the most selfless, honorable and Godly man and his faith and strength encouraged and affected so many. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. He loved to travel and lived many different places. He was rough but yet kind, hard but yet soft. He will be missed by so many….
Jim’s wishes were to be cremated and his ashes to remain with his loving wife for eternity. He would not want tears so rejoice for he is with the Lord in a much better place. His favorite scripture was Acts 2.38 and he shared that experience with so many and that faith never faltered.
