

James “Jimmy” Bernard Hill, 76, died on Monday, February 17, 2025 at UNC Rockingham Health in Eden.
Mr. Hill was born on May 7, 1948 in Rockingham County to the late Alfred David Hill and Elizabeth Ward Hill. Jimmy worked for American Tobacco and was a painter by trade, a side profession that he truly loved. He found joy in the outdoors, spending his free time fishing and hunting. NASCAR races were a favorite as well. Above all, Jimmy cherished his family deeply, especially his beloved daughter, often referred to as “daddy’s little girl.”
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Hill and sisters, Shirley Hill and Mary Lovelace.
He is survived by his daughter, Kim Hill Knight (Lee); grandchildren, Dillon Knight, Aleia Knight and JoDee Knight; brother, Ray Hill (Brenda) and many extended family and friends.
